So, Men’s London Fashion Week has come and gone, the world’s fashion press, bloggers and buyers having all been in the capital vying to work out the next big industry trends with collections on view for Spring/Summer 2020.
And with the last shows having sashayed down the catwalk into the sunset we thought we’d bring you some of the standout trends and looks from Men’s London Fashion Week that you can replicate on a less than supermodel budget.
Be Seen in Mint Green
Peppermint greens are one of the standout trends for Spring/Summer 2020. They can be worn head-to-toe or in tonal combos as seen in the collection by designer and dancer Saul Nash.
Get the look: Patagonia are doing a range of classic beach volley shorts in this particular shade of vert that look great and won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
Matching Patterned Shorts & Shirts
If there’s one thing we learned from many of the shows over Men’s Fashion Week, it’s that your no one without a matching shirts and shorts combo. And on the whole patterned is the way to go with this trend.
Get the look: Boohoo Men have an array of co-ords & twin sets so you can style it out like the fellas on the catwalk.
Cargo Trousers Are Back!
We’ve been holding onto ours since the mid-90s knowing what comes around goes around and this throwback is finally making a return. Once the go-to legwear of boy and girl band members, cargo pants are set to do the rounds again.
Get the look: Nike’s ACG cargo pants are a modern take on the trousers with a slightly closer fit and the option of hiding the pockets on the leg for an even more streamlined look.
Another element of the streetstyle resurgence we saw throughout the week was the comeback of chunky trainers. Another style staple in the 90s with thicker treads and a wide fit making it feel like you were wearing a tractor.
Get the look: Uppersole have a range of cheap mens shoes with some chunky options that won’t break the bank.
Printed Summer Shirts
We’ve been talking about this trend since Spring this year. Yes, the printed summer shirt in short sleeves, worn partially opened to give your best Magnum PI impression.
Get the look: As previously recommended the sensei floral printed Cuban collar shirt by REISS will earn you some serious points in the style stakes.
