A Teaser for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has Dropped

The teaser for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has just been released and while it’s safe to say they’re not giving too much away we at least see Chris Pratt back in the role of dinosaur Dr Doolittle (was that ever in doubt?). Executive Producer and co-writer Colin Trevorrow revealed the short clip on social media as a thanksgiving treat for eager fans.

Here at The MALESTROM HQ we didn’t think we could get excited at the sight of a Hollywood star tickling a dinosaur under the chin, but there’s a first time for everything. It’s rumoured the first proper Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer will be shown before next months release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, so extra bang for your box office buck with that one.

Following on from the success of 2015’s Jurassic World which raked in over one and a half billions dollars worldwide at the box office, Universal will be keen to see a repeat and with a release date slated for June 22nd it’s sure to be the big summer action flick.

The really big news we’re hearing is that legendary leading man Jeff Goldblum is set to reprise his role as cynical pragmatist Dr. Ian Malcolm in this hotly anticipated sequel. There’s been little in the way of plot spoilers so far, however the rumours that have been doing the rounds are based on shots of merchandise for the movie that feature a prominent volcano. It seems some sort of seismic volcanic activity will threaten the dinosaurs on the Jurassic World island and will therefore have to be removed from Isla Nubar by humans, cue rampaging chaos. Perhaps the Fallen Kingdom will be the destruction of the park itself. Plenty to look forward to as Spanish director Juan Antonio Bayona (The Orphanage) takes the reins. See the teaser below…
