American body the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) looked at its effects on generalised anxiety disorder (GAD) and said that CBD was shown to reduce stress in animals. Subjects in the study were observed as having lower behavioural signs of anxiety.
Another report from the World Health Organisation said CBD had “no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential’: and that there’s been “no evidence of public health-related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.” All the evidence points to CBD being safe to take and very likely to bring numerous health benefits.
