Occasion after occasion, day after day, we follow the same pattern. We make the same decisions based loosely on past decisions. We overthink the minutiae of life, or more specifically a life that has been presented, assigned to us.
As men reach their later years, so often they philosophise, consider their achievements, look back and think about the good and bad decisions they made.
Much of this happens in part due to a very specific realization, that you can indeed follow your dreams, and you should because we have so little time.
Many of our procrastinations are rooted in our involvement in a set of structures that often don’t need so much of our consideration. Worrying about things that will never happen, and even if they do, it’s unlikely your worry would ever have changed that course.
It’s time to design a life that you want to live, one that fulfills your entire being. Stop now, leveraging your precious time against bleak, unfulfilling concepts of the right and wrong way to live.
Work out what makes you happy. Think about how you want the world to see you. Imagine the experiences you want to have. Then set forth a plan of action to make it happen.
Unfortunately, we do only get one shot, one shot starting today, our mistakes are but a futile drop in the ocean of history. Get a move on and design a life you want to live.
