For a fifty-three-year-old bloke, American surfer Laird Hamilton puts most chaps in their twenties to shame. This video shows he’s still going more than strong, here in pursuit of the world’s longest wave. His journey in search of mile long rides of 8-10 footers takes him to Chicama, Peru.
Catching the surf in this beautiful environment using a hydrofoil board, it can take this surfer boy a whole six minutes to cruise one wave. Always in the market for boundary-pushing (he co-invented tow-in surfing), this is another innovative and exhilarating surfing adventure.
