We at The MALESTROM were always brought up to not play with our food, but this musical collective makes a habit of doing just that. The Vegetable orchestra, based in Vienna make their instruments from veg they get down the market. Whether it be a pumpkin drum, a celery guitar or a pepper flute these guys can get a good tune out of it.
It takes them a fair bit of time drilling and whittling to get their produce into musical shape, but it’s worth the wait, and there are no worries around waste as this lot even make soup for their audiences with all the leftovers. Take a look at the remarkable Vegetable orchestra.
