The Christmas Gift Guide Edit For HIM

It’s that time of the year again folks when everyone goes consumer crazy and if you didn’t manage to get organised and pick up some bargains on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, not sure what happened on Saturday and Sunday, maybe ask Craig David, although he might not have gift solutions, that’s where we come in. Yes, whether your buying for family or that special someone, or just looking for ideas as you’re bombarded with the dreaded query – What do you want for Christmas? Fear not we have you covered, here’s The MALESTROM Christmas gift guide…

SlugHaus Bullet 02 from The Foundry – £11.99

This novel bullet shaped keyring is the world’s smallest LED torch and would make for the perfect stocking filler. Ideal for the cumbersome and clumsy man in your life, as it’s virtually indestructible thanks to it’s aerospace grade aluminium shell, as well as being water resistant, which means you can play with it in the bath. Add to that the fact that the bulb has a lifespan of 150,000 hours it should be good to guide you through that drunken late night stumble back from the boozer.

The OEX Zenon Ultra LT Jacket from Go Outdoors – £130

This ultra lightweight jacket with ultra heavyweight insulation powers, is the solution to the ever decreasing temperatures and with January and February set to be colder looking than Peter Schmeichel’s nose, you might want to get an order in for one of these. It’s been made by some very smart science types, with it’s DWR treatment making light work of light rain, turning droplets into beads that you can just shake off like a wet dog. It has a hydrophobic down fill, which basically means you’ll stay snuggly warm whatever. All we know is it’s light, super comfortable, and doesn’t compromise in the style stakes.

Denon Envaya Range from Denon – £89-169

A quality speaker is an absolute must these days, although I’m not sure The MALESTROM’s neighbours would agree, however if you’re not booming audio from all corners of the house then your not living our friend. And if you want a speaker that work’s after being submerged in one metre of water for thirty minutes then you’ve come to the right place. The Envaya range is a bit special it has a long lasting battery life and built-in Siri activation, offers instant access to the “personal iPhone” assistant at the simple press of a button and has a high quality built-in microphone that enables you to make hands free calls on Apple and Android devices. The only thing it can’t do is get those damn roast potatoes all crispy on the outside and soft in the centre.

Craft Beer Advent Calendar from HonestBrew – £74.90

Finally someone has created a craft beer advent calendar! This rather wonderful creation is the brainchild of that clever lot at HonestBrew. The ‘calendar’ or small brewery contains 24 beers including IPAs, stouts, porters and sours, from top craft breweries. The fancy artwork is courtesy of HATCH – aka London-based artist & illustrator Dave Smith. It’s not so much a gift for Christmas Day per se, although it would make for a good excuse to scratch dry January, we prefer a wet one anyway. Expect highly detailed patterns and tones that create eye-catching graphic compositions, just like you’ll see on HonestBrew’s packaging, it really is an impressive thing.
