Father’s Day Gift Guide

'DAD' written in balloons in front of lots of ties

Yes, it’s that time of year again folks. That one day on the calendar where the old fella in your life is supposed to get a bit of recognition for all the time spent taxiing you and your mates around, keeping you fed and watered and just generally putting up with you all these years.

With the troubled times we’ve all been navigating, it’s the perfect excuse to put a smile on Dad’s face by buying him that perfect pressie. And that’s where we come in, offering a helping hand with a dose of inspiration, from high-tech jeans to moisturising creams, stylish watches to brewing gear, we’ve got you well and truly covered. Without any further ado, here’s our Fathers Day Gift Guide.

Spoke Storm Denim Jeans – £145

spoke denim jeans

The sun may have had his hat on for a little while in Blighty, but given May was the wettest it’s been since 1967, we know a good soaking from the sky is never far away. And given the inclement climate, we have one sartorial solution that any Father worth his salt would be more than grateful to receive.

Spoke have been knocking out quality menswear for a while now, but it’s their new Storm Denim that have really caught our eye. These rinse wash, 2% stretch denim have a special nano-tech coated yarn that makes them water-repellent. The unique fabric also provides thermoregulation making them perfect for wearing out and about on bike rides. Added to that every pair is hand finished to order in over 200 sizes. What’s not to love?

Nordgreen Pioneer Watch – £217

Nordgreen gold mesh watch

Here at The MALESTROM we’ve always been suckers for a bit of classic Danish design, something the dapper lot at Nordgreen know plenty about. With the input of chief designer and Copenhagen native Jakob Wagner, they’ve created some of the most stylish timepieces on the market. We’re particularly loving the sleek curves of the award-winning Pioneer model.

And you don’t have to worry about whether you have something unique on your wrist, as Nordgreen offer an impressive array of straps options for versatility. With these beauties coming delivered in ethical packaging, your Dad can feel as good about waste reduction as he does about his newly upgraded style status.

Pinter – £85

Pinter

Lockdown life has got us all very accustomed to supping a cold one from the comfort of our homes, so why not take things a little further and turn the four walls into a mini-brewery. This nifty device called the Pinter combines craft brewing with revolutionary technology.

Rather than all the fuss that used to go with home brew, Pinter makes it ridiculously easy to churn out 10 fresh pints of your favourite beer or cider. The ideal gift for Dad, so you can both sit down together and watch The Euros supping some quality craft booze while you moan about England losing.

VIVIR Tequila – £34.95

VIVR Tequila

Why did the Mexican push his wife off a cliff? Tequila. Yes, you could inspire more terrible Dad jokes like this by delivering a bottle of VIVIR to you old man’s door on Father’s Day. Although we have to say this is no ordinary tequila. It could be the very best we here at The MALESTROM have ever had the pleasure of drinking. And we’ve tried a lot!

The award-winning smooth taste comes from VIVIR’s production technique that mixes 100% Weber Blue Agave with natural volcanic spring water, with the Reposado and Anejo being finished in American Oak ex-bourbon barrels. It all makes for a seriously inspired drop.

The Stubble & Co Roll Top – £105
