Has the global phenomenon that is Netflix’s Original Series Stranger Things left you pining to be transported back in time with the overwhelming flurry of retro nostalgia? Well we at The MALESTROM think it’s time to take a trip down memory lane and revamp your wardrobe with a ‘Stranger Things‘ style makeover.
1, GAP 1969 Sherpa Lined Denim Jacket
If you’re a bit slow off the mark and haven’t got onboard with the Sherpa jacket movement it’s time to do so now. This classic denim number from GAP is great value and ticks all the boxes. Rokit have been doing some excellent vintage Levi versions, that are worth a look if you fancy a lighter stonewashed denim, but they tend to sell out quick, so get on it.
2, Drama Club T-shirt by 8Ball
Vintage t-shirt time. Dustin from ‘Stranger Things’ certainly hits the heights in the style stakes and if you want an exact replica of his now iconic Drama Club number – get it here for a reasonable £14.99 and take your lunch into work with you for a couple of days.
That’s right M&S. Probably best known these days for their collaborations with Mr David Gandy and his sophisticated, rather costly range – however, if you have a bit of an explore Marks and Sparks do some quality items. Their knitwear is always rock solid and this striped polo shirt is straight up ‘Stranger Things’.
4, APC Wexford Textured Jumper from MR PORTER
At the top end of the scale, this textured Wexford woolly jumper hits all the right notes – it’s not cheap but it’s one for the ages. It’s perfect for those cosy autumnal nights down the boozer.
This short raglan sleeved grey sweatshirt from H&M is spot on and available at a reduced £8.99. Move quick and complete the look.
This vintage trucker cap from Beyond Retro is cheap and cheerful and simplicity personified. A subtle statement and a great accessory. But best be quick – available while stocks last. All you need now is a boombox, a calculator watch and some walkie-talkies and you’re good to go!
