Beer and music fans are invited to blow off some steam and join our favourite Beavertown Brewery for a live gig this afternoon, 8th May at 4pm on Beavertown’s Instagram Live. For this week’s #4pmWithBeavertown, the brewery is hosting an intimate set by none other than Annabel Allum.
Join Annabel for 30 minutes of vitriolic explosions of grungy guitar paired with gut-wrenchingly honest lyrics; the perfect soundtrack to release any frustrations, worries and generally chill out to after another long week in lockdown.
Annabel has graced the airwaves on Radio X and become a BBC Introducing sensation, with her name cropping up on numerous festival line-up posters in recent years. She’s built a reputation for capturing the smoky allure of Wolf Alice whilst channeling the 90s with nods to Nirvana, PJ Harvey and The Cranberries.
A beer lover herself, Annabel has created her own online pub group called The Trickster’s Tavern as a means of maintaining regular contact with her hardcore fanbase. She hosts regular quizzes, live streaming shows and sing-alongs with an aim to keep up morale during lockdown.
Beavertown have been hosting a weekly virtual event on a Friday called #4pmWithBeavertown since the beginning of Lockdown as a chance to get together with other beer fans, say cheers and crack open your first ceremonial can of the weekend with a fun activity. Head to their Instagram Live or http://www.beavertowncheers.co.uk on Friday’s at 4pm to join in with the socially distanced fun.
